i am so proud to be a soprano, conductor, composer and music teacher.
I believe profoundly and passionately in music education, and it has been my privilege to teach 1000s of young people in my career as a secondary music teacher, and Director of Music. This is a role I will return to again, when time and opportunity allows.
I am fortunate to sing with the finest choral ensembles in the world, on the best movies on the planet, compose music that “inspires” and conduct brilliant vocal and instrumental ensembles. Here’s my most recent musical “CV”: if you’d like to work with me in a musical capacity, please either book a free 20 minute call using the Calendly below, or fill out the form on this page.
I am very proud to have been awarded a grant “Developing your Creative Practice” (DYCP) from Arts Council England for September 2023 onwards. My application was titled “Finding your Voice”, and I am will be sharing about the whole experience on here. You can subscribe to my newsletter for updates!
Soprano, Conductor, Composer and Music Teacher
1.
Soprano
Ongoing and regular work with: BBC Singers, Tenebrae, Monteverdi Choir, The Cardinall's Musick, London Voices and many other ensembles and consorts. Film work: I record regularly with London Voices at Abbey Road and Air Studios on films such as Barbie, Avengers, Captain Marvel, Mission Impossible… I am a soprano but am happy to sing in an alto range. I have perfect pitch, which is useful!
2.
Conductor
Former Director of Eltham College Choral Society: particular performance highlights include Bach B Minor Mass and Jenkins The Armed Man (both Cadogan Hall). Former Director of Eltham College trebles, whom I prepared for several BBC Proms and other major events. More recent performances include Mozart Requiem and Chilcott A Little Jazz Mass (Ewell Castle Choir and Community Choir) and directing Hampton School Chamber Choir in Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral.
3.
Music teacher
I’ve been involved in some capacity in secondary music education since I was 21, including Director of Music posts in two amazing schools, and a teacher of music in a third. Being a music teacher is such a privilege, and without sounding like too much of a cliche has taught me so much. I am sure I will return to a school in a more permanent capacity when my dream job comes up!
